What SmartPaperDesk is
SmartPaperDesk is an educational paper-trading platform for the Indian stock market. It lets you build trading strategies, test them on historical data, and run them in a simulated account. No real orders are placed and no real money moves through the platform.
What SmartPaperDesk is not
SmartPaperDesk is not a stock broker, not an investment adviser, and not a research analyst under SEBI regulations. Nothing on this platform, including strategy results, scan signals, charts, or AI-generated summaries, is investment advice or a recommendation to buy or sell any security. Simulated and backtested results are hypothetical: they do not represent real trading, and past performance does not predict future results.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything done under your account. One account per person. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service, attempt to access other users’ data, or use the platform for anything unlawful.
Market data keys
SmartPaperDesk never asks for a broker login. If you add your own market data key, it is used only to fetch live market prices for your own view; it cannot place orders and has no read-only broker mode. A data key follows its provider’s own rules, including any expiry it sets.
Plans and payment
Free and paid plans differ in limits and features as shown on the Billing page. Paid plans are one-time purchases of 30 days; nothing renews or auto-charges. Access simply ends at the end of the paid period unless you buy another 30 days.
Liability
The platform is provided as-is. Market data can be delayed, incomplete or wrong, and software can have bugs. To the extent the law permits, SmartPaperDesk is not liable for any loss arising from use of the platform, including decisions you make in real markets based on simulated results.
Changes
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced on the platform. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
